1. Who we are

UTable is an iOS app developed and operated by its independent developer (the "Developer"). Contact: contact@utableapp.com.

2. What we collect and why

• Sign in with Apple: a pseudonymous Apple user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name. Used to identify you when you book, and to show your name to the restaurant you booked with. We never see your Apple ID email unless you share it.
• iCloud identity: UTable stores data in Apple CloudKit. Your CloudKit user record identifier links your reservations to your account. We do not receive your iCloud credentials.
• Reservations: restaurant, date, time, party size, status, table assignment, and the name you shared. Visible to you and to the restaurant you booked with. Kept for statistics of that restaurant; you can cancel and delete your account from Profile.
• Restaurant data (for owners): restaurant name, area, location, optional Instagram handle, Apple Maps listing reference, website domain, floor and table configuration, and reservation policies. Shown publicly in the app so diners can find and book you.
• Ownership verification (optional): when a restaurant owner requests verification, we send a one-time code to an email address on the domain of the restaurant's website. The address and code are kept only for the 15-minute validity of the code.
• Location: used only while the app is open to show places near you and center the map. It is not stored or sent to us.
• Camera and microphone: camera is used by restaurants to scan reservation QR codes; microphone and speech recognition are used only when you tap the microphone to search by voice (processed by Apple's on-device/cloud speech services). Nothing is recorded or stored.
• On-device only: your saved places, visit history and notes are stored on your device and can be deleted at any time. Restaurant metrics are computed on the restaurant's device.

3. What we do NOT do

• No ads shown inside the app, no tracking across other apps or websites, no sale or sharing of personal data with third parties for their own purposes. Our own promotional campaigns use privacy-preserving, non-identifying measurement only — see §14.
• No payment card data: subscriptions for restaurants are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see card details.
• No reviews or ratings inside UTable.

4. Third-party services

• Apple (Sign in with Apple, CloudKit, MapKit, StoreKit, speech recognition) — governed by Apple's privacy policy.
• Meta (Facebook) — used only to measure the effectiveness of our own advertising campaigns, through privacy-preserving aggregate attribution (see §14). Not linked to your identity, not used to track you across other apps or websites. Governed by Meta's privacy policy.
• Resend — email delivery for ownership verification codes only.
• Cloudflare — hosting of this website and of the verification service.

5. Retention and deletion

Reservations are retained while the account exists and for the restaurant's statistics. You can delete your account and reservations from Profile → Delete my account. Restaurant owners can request deletion of their restaurant record by email. We answer deletion requests as soon as reasonably possible.

6. Children

UTable is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their data.

7. International use

Data is stored in Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. By using UTable you understand it operates globally.

8. Your rights

You may access, correct or delete your data, and object to processing, by using the in-app options or emailing us. We honor rights under GDPR, CCPA and comparable laws where they apply.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the latest version is always at this address with its date.

10. Data controller and legal bases

The data controller is the individual developer of UTable ("the Developer"), reachable at contact@utableapp.com. Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we process your data to perform the contract with you (managing your reservations or your restaurant), on our legitimate interest in running and protecting the service, and with your consent where required (e.g. location permission, which you can withdraw in iOS Settings at any time).

11. Storage and security

Reservation and restaurant data live in Apple CloudKit, encrypted in transit and at rest on Apple's infrastructure; we never see your Apple ID credentials. Ownership-verification emails are delivered through a transactional email provider and the verification codes expire and are not reused. No system is 100% secure, but we minimize what we collect so there is little to expose.

12. Restaurants see only what they need

When you book, the restaurant sees the name you chose to share, the date, time and party size — nothing else. Restaurants act as independent controllers of the reservation data they receive and must handle it lawfully; UTable does not give them your contact details.

13. No sale of personal information

We do not sell, rent or share personal information for advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising, in the meaning of the California CCPA/CPRA or any similar law. Residents of California and other regions with privacy laws may exercise their access and deletion rights by email; we do not discriminate for exercising them.

14. Attribution measurement

If you installed UTable after seeing one of our ads, install attribution may be measured through Apple's SKAdNetwork/AdAttributionKit and Meta's Aggregated Event Measurement (AEM). These privacy-preserving frameworks report aggregate campaign numbers to us without identifying you personally. Device-level identifiers and app-interaction signals may be shared with Meta for this purpose, but never linked to your Apple ID or personal identity, and never used to track you across other apps or websites.

2. Qué recopilamos y para qué

• Sign in with Apple: un identificador seudónimo de usuario de Apple y, si elegís compartirlo, tu nombre. Se usa para identificarte al reservar y mostrar tu nombre al restaurante donde reservaste. No vemos tu correo de Apple ID salvo que lo compartas.
• Identidad de iCloud: UTable guarda los datos en Apple CloudKit. Tu identificador de usuario de CloudKit vincula tus reservas a tu cuenta. No recibimos tus credenciales de iCloud.
• Reservas: restaurante, fecha, hora, cantidad de personas, estado, mesa asignada y el nombre que compartiste. Las ves vos y el restaurante donde reservaste. Se conservan para las estadísticas de ese restaurante; podés cancelar y eliminar tu cuenta desde Perfil.
• Datos del restaurante (dueños): nombre, zona, ubicación, Instagram opcional, referencia a la ficha de Apple Maps, dominio del sitio web, configuración de pisos y mesas y políticas de reserva. Se muestran públicamente en la app para que los comensales puedan encontrarte y reservar.
• Verificación de titularidad (opcional): cuando un dueño la solicita, enviamos un código de un solo uso a una casilla del dominio del sitio web del restaurante. La dirección y el código se guardan solo durante los 15 minutos de validez del código.
• Ubicación: se usa solo mientras la app está abierta, para mostrarte lugares cercanos y centrar el mapa. No se guarda ni se nos envía.
• Cámara y micrófono: la cámara la usan los restaurantes para escanear los QR de las reservas; el micrófono y el reconocimiento de voz solo cuando tocás el micrófono para buscar por voz (procesado por los servicios de voz de Apple). No se graba ni se guarda nada.
• Solo en tu dispositivo: tus lugares guardados, historial de visitas y notas quedan en tu teléfono y podés borrarlos cuando quieras. Las métricas del restaurante se calculan en el dispositivo del restaurante.

3. Lo que NO hacemos

• Sin anuncios dentro de la app, sin rastreo entre otras apps o sitios web, sin venta ni cesión de datos personales a terceros para sus propios fines. Nuestras propias campañas publicitarias usan medición agregada y sin identificarte — ver §14.
• Sin datos de tarjetas: la suscripción de los restaurantes la procesa Apple a través del App Store; nunca vemos los datos de pago.
• Sin reseñas ni calificaciones dentro de UTable.

4. Servicios de terceros

• Apple (Sign in with Apple, CloudKit, MapKit, StoreKit, reconocimiento de voz) — según la política de privacidad de Apple.
• Meta (Facebook) — se usa solo para medir la efectividad de nuestras propias campañas publicitarias, mediante atribución agregada que protege la privacidad (ver §14). No se vincula con tu identidad ni se usa para rastrearte entre otras apps o sitios web. Según la política de privacidad de Meta.
• Resend — envío de correos únicamente para los códigos de verificación de titularidad.
• Cloudflare — alojamiento de este sitio y del servicio de verificación.

5. Conservación y eliminación

Las reservas se conservan mientras exista la cuenta y para las estadísticas del restaurante. Podés eliminar tu cuenta y tus reservas desde Perfil → Eliminar mi cuenta. Los dueños pueden pedir la eliminación del registro de su restaurante por correo. Respondemos las solicitudes de eliminación tan pronto como sea razonablemente posible.

6. Menores

UTable no está dirigida a menores de 13 años (o la edad mínima de tu país) y no recopilamos sus datos a sabiendas.

7. Uso internacional

Los datos se almacenan en la infraestructura CloudKit de Apple. Al usar UTable entendés que opera a nivel global.

8. Tus derechos

Podés acceder, corregir o eliminar tus datos y oponerte a su tratamiento desde la app o por correo. Respetamos los derechos del RGPD, la CCPA y leyes comparables donde apliquen.

9. Cambios

Podemos actualizar esta política; la versión vigente está siempre en esta dirección con su fecha.

10. Responsable del tratamiento y bases legales

El responsable del tratamiento es el desarrollador individual de UTable ("el Desarrollador"), contactable en contact@utableapp.com. Donde apliquen el RGPD o leyes similares, tratamos tus datos para ejecutar el contrato con vos (gestionar tus reservas o tu restaurante), por nuestro interés legítimo en operar y proteger el servicio, y con tu consentimiento cuando corresponde (p. ej. el permiso de ubicación, que podés retirar en Ajustes de iOS cuando quieras).

11. Almacenamiento y seguridad

Los datos de reservas y restaurantes viven en Apple CloudKit, cifrados en tránsito y en reposo en la infraestructura de Apple; nunca vemos tus credenciales de Apple ID. Los emails de verificación de titularidad se envían por un proveedor de email transaccional y los códigos vencen y no se reutilizan. Ningún sistema es 100% seguro, pero recopilamos lo mínimo para que haya poco que exponer.

12. Los restaurantes ven solo lo necesario

Cuando reservás, el restaurante ve el nombre que elegiste compartir, la fecha, la hora y la cantidad de personas — nada más. Los restaurantes actúan como responsables independientes de los datos de reserva que reciben y deben tratarlos conforme a la ley; UTable no les entrega tus datos de contacto.

13. No vendemos información personal

No vendemos, alquilamos ni compartimos información personal con fines publicitarios ni de publicidad conductual entre contextos, en el sentido de la CCPA/CPRA de California o leyes similares. Quienes residan en California u otras regiones con leyes de privacidad pueden ejercer sus derechos de acceso y eliminación por email; no discriminamos por ejercerlos.

14. Medición de atribución

Si instalaste UTable después de ver uno de nuestros anuncios, la atribución de la instalación puede medirse mediante SKAdNetwork/AdAttributionKit de Apple y la Medición Agregada de Eventos (AEM) de Meta. Estos marcos, diseñados para proteger la privacidad, nos reportan números agregados de campaña sin identificarte personalmente. Identificadores a nivel de dispositivo y señales de interacción con la app pueden compartirse con Meta con este fin, pero nunca se vinculan con tu Apple ID ni con tu identidad personal, ni se usan para rastrearte entre otras apps o sitios web.
